Instructions for using the Clinitest test
You can take the test yourself if you are over 12 years old. Younger people should be tested by an adult. Help with taking the test is also recommended for people over 70 years old.
- Before starting the test, clean or disinfect your hands well. The test should be performed at room temperature. When performing, also follow the pictorial instructions attached to the test.
- Open the package with the test and carefully insert the sterile swab into the nostril 2 to 4 cm deep. Twist it five times inside the nostril and then repeat the process in the other nostril.
- After removing the swab, mix it 6 times around the test tube, press it against the bottom and wall of the test tube and let it stand for 1 minute. After this time, press a few more times against the bottom and wall of the test tube.
- Carefully remove the swab from the tube and dispose of it safely. Place a cap with a dropper on the test tube.
- Place the tile on a table or other completely flat surface. Add 4 drops or 100 µL of sample to the sample well. Wait up to 15 minutes before you can read the result.
- If the test Clinitest detects the corresponding protein of the coronavirus , a line indicating a positive test result will appear in the test line (T) area.
- The absence of a test line (T) indicates a negative test result.
- If the test was performed correctly, a line will always appear in the control line area (C).
