Treatment of symptoms of acute hemorrhoidal disease:
Take two tablets three times a day for the first four days and two tablets twice daily for the next three days. If the symptoms of your illness worsen or do not improve within seven days, consult your doctor.
Treatment of lymphedema:
Take one to two tablets three times a day. Long-term treatment is necessary, and the effect appears after several months of regular medication. Your doctor will advise you on how long the treatment should last.
How is Detralex used?
Swallow the tablet with a sufficient amount of liquid. Detralex tablets can be taken with or without food.

What are the possible side effects?
Detralex can have side effects like all medicines, although not everybody has them.
- Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 patients): diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting.
- Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 patients): Colitis.
- Rare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 patients): dizziness, headache, feeling sick, rash, itching, hives.
- Side effects with unknown frequency (the frequency cannot be estimated from the available data): isolated edema (swelling) of the face, lips, or eyelids; exceptionally, Quincke's edema (rapid swelling of tissues such as the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat, which may result in breathing difficulties), abdominal pain.
What does Detralex contain?
The active ingredient is a micronized purified flavonoid fraction.
One film-coated tablet contains 500 mg of micronized purified flavonoid fraction, corresponding to 450 mg of diosmin (90%) and 50 mg of flavonoids expressed as hesperidin (10%).
Other components of the medicine are:
Tablet core: gelatin, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch, talc.
Film coating: glycerol, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, red iron oxide (E172), sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide (E171), yellow iron oxide (E172).
