Natrium muriaticum (Natrium chloratum) is a marine medicine; the salt that comes from the sea is changed into medicine by dilution and dynamization.

Symptoms characteristic of Natrium muriaticum are:
- dry skin and mucous membranes; there is a severe thirst and a need for salt or highly salted foods
- the lips are often cracked, sometimes a crack is visible in the middle of the lower lip
- itchy rash occurs on hot summer days as a result of sweating (or after excessive exercise), especially on the folds of the joints
- the itching and burning sensation is alleviated by a cold bath and staying outdoors, and the heat makes them worse
- dry eczema at first very itchy, after scratching tiny, white blisters develop
- due to dry mucous membranes, there is a frequent feeling of sand in the eyes, most often in the morning; photosensitivity is present
- at sea, herpes often appears on the lips or on the edge of the nose in the form of blisters filled with clear fluid
- resistance to the sun; the need to protect the head with a headgear; if the sun burns directly on the head, a headache develops (as if a hammer were pounding in the head)
- he does not tolerate consolation and feels best if left alone, in trouble he prefers to be alone than in company
