Customer question:
Cramps in my legs are a common problem of mine, day and night as well. Are they harmful? Anonymous customer.
Answer:
Leg cramps are common and usually harmless. They only last briefly and can appear anytime, and most people experience them at night or while resting.
Leg cramps occur when a muscle in the leg shortens and causes sudden pain that can make movement difficult. Cramps can last from a few seconds to 10 minutes. When the muscle contraction stops, the muscle may be sore for up to 24 hours.
Spasms most often occur in areas of the body such as:
- leg, below the knee on the back of the leg
- feet or thighs
Stretching and massaging the muscle can ease the pain during a cramp, although most cramping goes away. Regular stretching exercises can help reduce spasms but may not prevent them entirely.
Medication Detralex for the relief of spasms in the legs
Detralex is a medicine used to treat the symptoms of chronic venous disease. Chronic venous disease is a disease of the veins in the legs, in which the blood drains too slowly from the lower limbs, so the fluid passes through the wall of the capillaries (smallest vessels) and collects in the tissue.
Vin disease manifests as painful or tired legs, feeling of heavy legs, itching, night cramps in the legs, the appearance of varicose veins (varicose veins) on the legs, and swelling.
