White mistletoe (from the Viscaceae family) is a 30-80 cm tall spherical shrub that grows on the bark of deciduous and coniferous trees. The evergreen leaves are leathery and oblong, the flowers are inconspicuous and yellow-green in color. They develop in clumps.
Useful parts and ingredients
Fresh or dried branches with leaves, flowers and fruits are suitable for medicinal use. Pharmacologically important ingredients are lecithins, polypeptides, mucous membranes, sugar alcohols, flavonoids, phenylallyl alcohols, lignans and triterpenes.
Use in folk medicine
For long-term treatment of mildly elevated blood pressure, prevention of atherosclerosis, epilepsy, whooping cough, asthma, fainting, diarrhea, cholera, rapid heartbeat and to eliminate circulatory disorders.
Forms and dosage of drugs
Concomitant treatment with white mistletoe for cancer cannot be performed alone. The preparations should be injected under the skin and the dose adjusted to the individual. Talk to your doctor about white mistletoe treatment options. Also in the treatment of joint diseases, the preparation should be injected.
White mistletoe tea is traditionally used for high blood pressure and to prevent atherosclerosis.
Making tea
1 teaspoon of white mistletoe herb pour 150 ml of cold water and let stand 10-12 hours. We boil before drinking. We drink 1-2 cups a day.
Contraindications
There are no known restrictions on consumption in the form of tea. You should not get injections if you are hypersensitive to protein, chronic infections such as tuberculosis, or fever.
Side Effects
There are no known side effects when drinking tea. Injections can only cause inflammation, as well as chills, fever, headache and circulatory disorders. Very rarely, mc allergic reactions have occurred.
